Foamstream is the ideal solution for use across any utility site, including water, electricity, solar and power plants.

Foamstream helps to alleviate both the costs and issues often associated with utility sites. Ideally suited to the management of clean and waste-water plants, Foamstream reduces costly manual labour. It also requires fewer treatment cycles than traditional methods of vegetation control, such as hand-weeding.

The active ingredient in Foamstream is the heat from the hot water. The foam is made from natural, organic ingredients such as potatoes and plant oils, and ensures that the heat isn’t lost to the atmosphere and the water stays at a high temperature. As a result of this, the plant is subjected to a high enough temperature to kill or severely damage it. It also sterilises the surrounding seeds and spores, minimising the chance of regrowth and so enabling fewer treatment cycles per year.

Especially effective at controlling moss and algae, Foamstream reduces the health and safety risks attributed to slip and trip hazards, commonly associated with water plants. Due to its environmentally friendly credentials, there is no risk of contamination to waterways, allowing Foamstream to be used freely around sites.

Foamstream is used effectively across a range of other utility sites including electricity sites, power plants and solar farms. It has been cleared as organic, safe and non-toxic by a variety of accredited bodies across the world. This means operators are not limited as to when and where they can work, allowing for the effective allocation of labour resources.

An eco-friendly, organic method to keep spaces weed-free, clean and safe for the healthy enjoyment and care of all. Foamstream could be the next great decision you make for your organisation.

Benefits of using Foamstream in the tourism sector

Foamstream is used by utility companies across the world. Read on to find out the reasons why Foamstream could benefit your organisation.

Can be used around bodies of water: As Foamstream is herbicide-free and made from all-natural materials, it is safe to use around bodies of water and other delicate environments. This makes Foamstream the ideal choice for water utility companies, who can use it to clean filter beds and keep walkways free of slip hazards like moss.

All-weather: Many other methods of weed control are limited as to when they can be used, such as in high winds or heavy rain. This can lead to periods of downtime and disruption. Foamstream can be used in all weather conditions, all year round, meaning you can plan ahead accordingly and maximise productivity.

Moss and algae: Moss roots sit on the top of the plant, unlike most other plants. Foamstream is applied directly to the plant, killing the moss and inhibiting its regrowth. Using Foamstream on moss and algae is as effective as herbicide alternatives and can eradicate the plant with just one treatment a year.

Multi-functionality: Many of our clients in the utility sector love Foamstream for a variety of reasons. Foamstream can be used not only for weed control, but also for a multitude of cleaning and sanitisation tasks including cleaning outdoor furniture and gum and graffiti removal.

People-friendly: Utility sites are busy places full of staff and visitors that need to be kept safe. Foamstream is safe to use around people as it’s herbicide-free. This means it can be used even in busy areas any time of year, so you can maximise your productivity and minimise disruption.

Cost-effective: Compared to other methods of weed control, Foamstream needs fewer treatments per year. That, combined with the fact it can be used in all weathers reducing downtime, makes it the lowest cost of ownership compared to any other alternative solution.
