Marouen Fradi joins Weedingtech as Service Engineer

We’ve just welcomed Marouen Fradi into the tech team here at Weedingtech.

Marouen has joined us as a service engineer and will be working alongside the other service engineers, under Steven Anft, to keep the lances foaming and customers happy, ensuring they keep killing weeds wherever they are in the world.

With an engineering degree and a background in manufacturing machinery maintenance across a diverse range of companies, his previous roles focused on customer support making him a perfect fit for our highly customer-focused support team.

With French as Marouen’s native language, he will play a critical role supporting our French speaking clients.

Read on to learn a little more about Marouen as he spoke to our Head of Marketing about joining Weedingtech:

“I moved to the UK a year ago from Tunisia. In Tunisia, I worked on anything that had an electrical element to it. After graduating with an engineering degree, I started out by freelancing in electrical installations, and even took care of the electrical refurbishment for my own home.

My most recent experience was in manufacturing machinery maintenance, in a wide range of industries, from plastic injection to pharmaceutical plants. I was effectively in charge of dealing with machinery faults at clients’ plants all around the country.

I left my latest job to move to the UK and joined Weedingtech at the beginning of this year. what made me want to work at Weedingtech was the prospect of working in a young and dynamic company making a big impact to change an industry, and also the opportunities to grow with it.

It felt like Weedingtech’s environmental agenda and core beliefs are a good fit with my own personal values.  Also, I felt synergy with the employees I met during the interview process which is very important to me.

I am a Service Engineer covering French speaking clients (mainly France, Belgium), providing training for new users and assistance with any potential technical issues.

Outside of work, I like to go fishing, though I haven’t been fishing in the UK yet. I also love to travel, having focused mainly on the UK this year.”

Welcome to the team Marouen!
