From all of us at Weedingtech, thank you for your support throughout 2025. It’s been an outstanding year for us and in this newsletter, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights that made 2025 so fantastic.
The evidence is clear
In June, the landmark global glyphosate study from the Ramazzini Institute, the biggest of its kind, confirmed that the herbicide used in most weed killers, glyphosate, can cause rare cancers, disrupt hormones and affect fertility, as well as a host of other health risks. We’re hoping this research encourages more businesses to reduce their glyphosate usage and consider herbicide-free alternatives.
Global reach, local impact
We kicked off the year by launching Foamstream in Brazil and Central America, and by December our weed control solution had reached 78 towns and cities in the UK and 31 countries worldwide. It’s been amazing to see our machines in action at iconic locations like Central Park and Hampton Court Palace, helping transform the way weeds are managed across the world.
A standout year for new partnerships
We celebrated many exciting new wins this year, with Foamstream being adopted by a wide range of high-profile organisations and venues, including Balmoral Castle, the Ministry of Defence, the City of Los Angeles, the Toyota Factory and the Government of Bermuda, to name a few. Each new customer marks another step forward in our mission to transform the way weeds are managed worldwide.
Making a real difference
As our global footprint expanded, we are delighted to see the usage of Foamstream increased by 48% compared to last year. In fact, it prevented more than 11,000 litres of glyphosate from being sprayed in public spaces this year, protecting people, wildlife and the environment.
Our strongest lineup
In total, Foamstream has helped maintain around 22.5 million square metres of public spaces without using glyphosate, approximately the size of 3150 football pitches. Speaking of football, our fastest-growing sector this year has been the football industry. We’re now partnered with 14 major clubs worldwide, 7 of which are in the Premier League.
The future of weed control
To wrap up the year, we showcased the L10, our new hybrid machine, at Saltex, the UK’s biggest landscaping exhibition. It was brilliant to see some of you there and to hear everyone’s thoughts on the machine.
